Just my first time, so I'll be brief. The Arizona immigration controversy is monopolizing our conversations in this office. Some things to consider, 1. The Federal law has not been enforced as written. 2. There is no easy, simple way to enforce it retroactively. 3. There is currently no comprehensive method guaranteeing that illegal immigration will not take place in the future. Some employers seem to believe that there is a Constitutionally-guaranteed ownership of economic opportunity in this country, (and it belongs to those who have the wealth and power to excercise it). They further seem to believe that laws restricting pursuit of profits cannot, or should not, be applied to them. The concept of Democracy is just that, a concept, not applicable to real life decisions or serious power negotiations.
